Can I pay with a credit card?

Many insurance companies do accept credit card payments, but not all of them. If you select an insurance carrier that doesn’t accept credit card payments, then our agency can pay the carrier on your behalf and you can then pay us using your credit card. In those situations, we do pass along the 3% credit card processing fee. We don’t pass along any additional charges for this service.

What are your office hours?

Our office is open Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 6pm. Drop-ins are welcome. We have additional hours available by appointment only. Please give us a call at (201) 869-6409 for assistance.

Gonzalez & Company has spent more than 40 years as innovators in the insurance field. Since 1978 our agency has focused on giving our customers the best service possible. We’re always willing to evaluate and adjust our policy and procedures to better assist our valued clients. This has been possible because the same family has owned our agency since the very beginning. We aren’t beholding to a large corporation and can remain true to our fundamental principles. Gonzalez & Company treat its customers like family.

How long will it take me to get a quote?

The fastest quotes are usually for personal auto insurance. In fact, you can often quote and buy a car insurance policy all within one day as long as the applicant has all the necessary information (e.g. driver’s license, social security number, vehicle registration, and copy of current insurance policy).

For homeowners insurance, we can usually process a new policy within 1-2 business days, and building insurance usually takes less than 3 business days. Of course, these timelines depend on whether we can access all the needed information.

For specialty business insurance, it may take a bit longer than a few days. We’ll need to take extra time and make sure we have every aspect of your business covered properly. However, all things considered, Gonzalez & Company can usually quote and bind a new commercial policy within a week.
